Catholic Charities is a licensed adoption agency that has been providing supportive services to men, women, children and families in Oregon since 1902. - We provide free counseling and support services to pregnant women and support their decisions regardless of their ultimate choice to parent their children or entrust them for adoption.
- Our services to pregnant clients and their families include professional MasterŐs level counseling, support groups, case management, resource linkage, mediation, financial assistance and a Mentoring program.
- We provide ongoing post-adoptive services and reunion counseling including a registry for those involved in past adoptions through our agency.
- We promote and mediate open adoptions based on genuine, honest, considerate, respectful and emotionally supportive relationships. Although we believe that open adoption is the healthiest form of adoption for all members of the adoption triad, we will always support the informed decision of the birth parents regarding future contact.
- Catholic Charities provides quality services for prospective adoptive parents which include adoption education classes; home studies for infant adoptions, independent adoptions, and special needs adoptions. We also provide support groups for waiting families and newly adopted families, and mediation services. Our reasonable fees reflect the actual services provided.
